Room Beats #112: the Lo Cascio Trio with special guests from the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia and friends, songs from a grandmother's notebook
Tonight · 20:30–23:00 · Living room, kitchen and hallway gallery (standing room only after 21:00), Trastevere
Voice, double bass and a borrowed piano: Sicilian songs rearranged for a living room, with three guests from the conservatory and an open jam at the end for anyone who brings an instrument.
The trio plays songs from Marta's grandmother's notebook, rearranged for voice, double bass and the house's upright piano.
Doors open at 20:00. The concert starts at 20:30 sharp and lasts about an hour and a half with a short break.
The contribution goes entirely to the musicians.
The trio met in 2017 at a jam session in this same living room. Since then they have played in forty houses across Italy, always without amplification, always asking the hosts to cook something from where they come from.
After the concert the floor is open: bring an instrument if you have one. The jam usually ends when the neighbours ask us to.
